Hi! I’m Mickey. Last year, I introduced you to my school and my neighborhood in China.  Today, I want talk about the lifestyle and student’s life in China.

My home city-Nanjing-is one of the biggest cities in China. As same as other big city, the rhythm of life is often fast. Most people wake up at 6:00 or 7:00 o’clock to go to work or school, but we also have some hard working people–city cleaners. Most of them wake up at 5:00 a.m or even 4:00 a.m. Thanks to them, we have tidy city.

People in Nanjing normally work 7~8 hours everyday. After a tired day, they drive their cars to go back home. So at this time, we often have some serious traffic jams. After getting home, some people cook, some go to a restaurant to eat with their friends.  You can see different kinds of Chinese Nightingale beside the road. Many people spend their evenings watching basketball or soccer. Especially during the World Cup, people are often cheering for their favorite team together.

Let’s talk about student life. At 7:00, high school student began to have early self-study and have morning exercise. Then at eight o’clock, classes begin, students always work hard.  In primary school, students alway left school at 4:00 o’clock.  In middle school, school ends at 5:30 (including PE lesson). But in high school, the school day ends at 7:00 or 8:00 o’clock.  The reason students stay so late is that they want to go to a good university or college. Although high school students  are working hard everyday, student still have time to relax during the weekend. We have two semesters in each year. In each semester, we can travel to some scenic spot or a science and technology museum, sometimes we even travel to an amusement park (Disneyland or Cedar Point).

Is it fun to live in China? Or do you think it’s quite different in China? Share your thought with the people beside you.

Thanks for you reading!
