In honor of my red hair, I decided to research famous people in history who had red hair. Enjoy this list of interesting figures and their significant contributions to history.
1. Alexander Hamilton- One of the Founding Fathers of our country the good ole U S of A
2. Andrew Jackson- One of our earliest Presidents who also fought in the Revolutionary War.
3. Christopher Columbus-in 14 hundred 92 Columbus sailed the ocean blue.
4. Genghis Khan-founded the Mongol Empire, which became the largest contiguous empire in history.
5. George Washington-The United States 1st and arguably best president.
6. Joan of Arc-Joan of Arc assisted France in defeating England in the Hundred Years War.
7. John Glenn-The first man to travel around the world in space.
8. Mark Twain-some people call him the “Father of American Literature”.
9. Thomas Jefferson-wrote the Declaration of Independence which led to the Revolutionary war and the start of the USA.
10. Vincent Van Gogh-a Dutch artist who was considered a failure during his lifetime but was very successful after his suicide in 1890.
11. Winston Churchill- The British Prime Minister at the time of World War 2 who was kicked out of his position during the middle of the war. He saw them through the bombing of London.
