Weird habits I’ve developed during quarantine
Quarantine has changed the way we all go about our daily lives, as we work and do school from home. In this article I will be highlighting some of the weird habits I’ve developed during quarantine, rather than the same changes we’ve all undergone and heard about time and time again.
My sleep schedule:
The time I go to bed has slowly slipped closer and closer to dawn as a result of long gaming sessions, programming late at night, and sometimes even doing school work late at night. Going to bed at 1-2am is early for me now and 3-4am is more normal. I usually wake up around noon. Yikes.
Doing school work in the middle of the night:
On quite a few occasions I’ve found myself working on school work in the early hours of the morning (1-3am) partially as a result of putting it off all day and partially because of my sleep schedule. It’s weird to think that I’m even awake enough to do any school work at that hour.
Rolling out of bed and going directly to class:
Before quarantine I always woke up around 6-6:30am for school and did an entire morning routine to get ready for school. Now I can get up 5-10 minutes before class and be to class on time. I wouldn’t recommend this, however, because sometimes I’m very tired for the first half of a class.
My Capri Sun addiction:
Respect the pouch. Really, it takes some self control to not inhale an entire box of the sweet, refreshing juice-pouches (not boxes). During the school year I drank about two pouches a day, usually at lunch, which I would consider a habit. Now, I’ve lost all self control and gone off the tracks. I’ve drank entire boxes in as little time as a day.
