Athlete Spotlight: Jaiden
Drew Johnson and Tristan Burrer sat down with Freshman Jaiden Guerra-Howard to talk about his basketball career and more.
When did you start playing basketball?
“I’ve been playing for as long as I can remember. I think the first time I picked up a basketball I was around 3.”
What do you enjoy most about basketball?
“The thing I enjoy the most is the energy. There’s nothing better then game time.”
What Position do you play?
“Point guard, this is my first year being a true point guard instead of just a normal guard.”
How does it feel to start varsity as a freshman?
“It feels good. I just go out there and do what I do.”
What are your overall goals for your basketball career?
“I want to be able to play basketball in college. At least d2 and hopefully d1.”
Do you play AAU?
“Yes, I’ve been playing AAU since around 4th grade and loved it since.”
Who is your favorite NBA player and team?
“My favorite NBA player is Ja Morant. I love the energy he brings with his game and his nasty dunks. My favorite team is the Sacramento Kings.”
Do you play any other sports besides basketball?
“I started playing soccer this year and I had a lot of fun playing with all my friends.”
