Smell the Roses
Editorial by Celeste Strinka
Life’s Not a Race
I look around and all I see is people rushing. They want to rush through everything, people rush through life. But they are missing so much in life. People are so caught up with the paperwork that constantly put in their hands that they forget that there’s a whole world around them waiting to be explored. I even catch myself getting over-worked and I get too caught up in the now and I realize that I could’ve taken a breather or maybe gone out with friends more, or even just taken in the scenery around me.
Missing Out
I find myself looking back in life, and I realize that I missed out on a lot. I could have made many more good memories if I took a step back from the books for one day and just go out with the family and enjoy each other’s company. I could have made more friends if I went to people’s parties and get-togethers instead of being overly-productive and trying to outdo myself in school, trying to prove a point. I realize that I could have done well in school and also have done exciting things if I just took balance into consideration.
