Modern Media caught up with Trey Brooks, Class of 2019, to reflect upon his time at Open Door.

 

“How has Open Door prepared you for college”

“I think open door gives you a good christian outlook on the world, so it gives you a good blueprint on how to act like christ in the real world”.

 

“What sports did you play in high school”

“Basketball”.

 

“What do you miss most about Open Door”

“The fans during senior year”.

 

“What do you miss most about high school”

“Being able to go home after a long day and relax”.

 

“How has the christian education impacted your life”

I think it makes you realize how good you good you have it because of the standard you were held to at open door other people didn’t have”.

 

“What is something open door didn’t prepare you for in college”

“Real world responsibility and living by yourself”.

 

“What were your favorite classes”

“Mr. Neubauer’s bible class”.

 

“What did you think of college after your first year”

“It wasn’t my favorite but I adapted slowly”.

 

What is your major in college”

“Business administration”

 

How did open door’s basketball program open up new opportunities for you”

“It helped me learn how to think on a new level of competition and because of that it helped me play on a higher level”.
