Open Door Christian Schools held their annual homecoming soccer game. Both the Girls and Boys Varsity Soccer teams played Friday Night.  The Middle School and High School bands also performed during the beautiful evening.   The school also held their announcement for the king and queen for the homecoming court.  This year Tyler Reaser won homecoming king, and Gracie Giesbrecht won queen.

On the soccer pitch, the boys soccer team played outstanding and beat Valley Forge High School 2-1 to improve to 9-3 on the season. Senior Nate Toton and Freshman Liam Bores scored the two goals, but they were not the only ones who put in effort during this game. The whole team provided energy and all the players played extremely well this game. The girls team was also victorious 3-0 over Avon in an exciting game.  “They played well, they did a good job connecting passes, and overall they worked very well as a team.” Freshman Claire Hepner said.

In addition to the bands and athletics,  there were bounce houses, cotton candy, and even face painting for the fans. Kids from all age ranges enjoyed this event and look forward to future homecoming events.  “I think homecoming was awesome, my kids had a blast, I think it was fantastic that they had games and activities for the kids.” Katy Phillips said. “And I think that the cost that was involved for them to do those activities was very reasonable.”

This annual game is something people look forward to every year and we cannot wait to see how it is next year!
