On Saturday the 21st, the Patriot boys cross country team competed in the OSHAA Districts Meet.  The team exceeded expectations with the team taking 3rd overall and advancing to Regional Competition that will take place on Saturday the 28th at Boardman.

From the moment the boys got to LCCC to the moment the gun went off the Patriots were ready to go. The team knew what they had to do to accomplish their goal, 3 individual qualifiers (top 16) and to beat anyone in a Rittman and or Mapleton jersey. The boys did just that with Anthony Januzzi finishing 7th, Trevor Taylor finishing 11th, and Nolan Raack finishing 12th. It was a textbook race for the Patriots with Jack Mungle finishing 28th and Joey Yarham finishing 49th allowing the boys team to advance as a whole to the Regional meet.  The varsity Patriot squad is ready for regionals and excited for the chance to make school history by being the first Cross Country Team to advance as a whole to the state meet.
